Tasty food, parking is easy, and the metro is nearby, and now a nice bar to sit and watch the game!

* Little Jewel Deluxe Half and Half - the oyster and shrimp was fresh, hot, and crisp; the slaw in the sandwich was refreshing and packed with spices * Duck Gumbo had a bit of kick while being smokey and sweet * Service was very friendly, ambiance was chill, and the food came out relatively quick

I absolutely love New Orleans cuisine. This hidden gem is by my job and I was so excited to finally try it. I got catfish and fries with Rockerfeller oysters. The catfish plate was good , but I thought the pieces would be filet style and not cut like a tender lol. The fries weren't all that, but the oysters? Tasty! I will be returning there's quite a bit of things I wanna try on the menu and I'll have to take my talents many more times. The service was great and the team members were nice. P.S. There's meter parking.

I didn't realize that I haven't reviewed this place until I went to Evangeline - the adjacent bar next door. I've been coming here since it opened because Little Jewel is as authentic as it gets. This grocery-deli specializes in New Orleans Creole/Cajun cuisine and carries popular and hard to find products from Louisiana & the South in addition to convenience items and some household staples. Co-Owner/Executive Chef Marcus Christiana-Beniger is a New Orleans native, and he wanted to bring that authenticity to his new hometown. I've tried several items from the menu and the food is legit. They even import their bread from Leidenheimer bakery because a Po-Boy isn't a traditional Po-Boy unless it's made with Leidenheimer loaves. The beignets are tasty, my mom loves the Muffuletta, the house-made olive salad is bomb, and it's one of the few places where I can find Abita beer.

I was taken back to my second home, New Orleans thank you for bringing the culture to LA through great food and customer service. The LA and NOLA connection is STRONG!

Came here on Sunday for lunch and there was plenty of seating! The interior decor was super cute with street signs from New Orleans. Everything js counter service so you grab a drink from their large variety of drink selection and order at the counter. I tried a pink ginger drink and it accompanied my crawmac deluxe perfectly! Speaking of the crawmac deluxe, I really enjoyed the generous amount of blackened shrimp I was given. I also appreciate the cornbread that came piping hot, tho it was a bit dry for me. I also think there could've been more crawfish - I felt I was eating more shrimp than crawfish most of the time. Not pictured is their beignet that I also tried. Unfortunately, this was a bit of a miss for me. The dough was really dense for some reason instead of airy like the usual beignets I've tried. Not sure if it's a different kind? Overall, I enjoyed this place and would come back again to try their other entrees!
